Astralis v Aristocracy

Map handicap: Astralis -1.5 (1.38)

This prop works for Astralis against any team in the world. They’ve been in such fantastic form since their return from a player break. Magisk, Dupreeh and Device have been in sensational form. Form and player confidence has helped them to the No. 1 ranking in the world, overtaking Liquid. Aristocracy, ranked 30 in the world, don’t seem to have much in their favour in this game.

Astralis have suffered two shocking upsets in their last five matches, against Evil Geniuses in the final of the ESL One New York and against eventual winners Fnatic recently at the DreamHack Masters. They will be determined to put these performances behind them with a deep run at the ESL Pro League.

Fnatic v North

Fnatic (1.42)

Form is an influential factor in any sport. Often, confidence helps decide form. Fnatic have both on their side after a title-winning run at DreamHack Masters. That result will buoy them significantly, not just because they’re now ranked fourth in the world, but also because they now believe they can beat any team.

Fnatic have won their previous five matches, including wins against Astralis, Fnatic and NiP. North are on the other end of the form spectrum, having lost four of their last five games. In the last meeting between these two teams, Fnatic thrashed North 16-9 (Train) and 16-2 (Nuke).

Team Liquid v ATK

Correct score (in maps): Team Liquid 2-0 (1.39)

ATK have won their last five matches, which included a win against MIBR. Liquid, on the other hand, have been on a downward spiral in the last few months, which has seen them even lose their No. 1 world ranking. Yet, the gulf in class and superiority between these two teams is too wide to ignore. While Liquid haven’t been on top of their game, they still have plenty of experience and depth, factors that are evidently missing in ATK. It should be quite an easy road past ATK in this contest.

Renegades v Singularity

Renegades (1.25)

After looking at all the props available, backing Renegades outright is the plausibly the safest option. Renegades are one of the most under-rated teams in the CS:GO circuit. Their last five matches includes four wins, against quality teams in ENCE, G2, Faze and Dreameaters. This consistency has seen them rise to No. 10 in the world. They even have an immensely favourable head to head record against Singularity, winning seven of eight maps dating back to early last year. Singularity, ranked No. 48, will find Renegades’ depth hard to match.
