Day 3 of the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals is set to get underway in Odense, Denmark.
Both of these teams are already through to the arena, but the winner of this match will be advancing straight to the semi-finals. The last time these two teams met was at the Berlin major, where EG got the better of NaVi in a 2–0 victory. However, it is worth mentioning this was back when Zeus was still on the roster for NaVi. Personally, I regard Evil Geniuses as the stronger team but you cannot rule out NaVi when s1mple and electronic are playing like they have been so far this tournament.
The last spot in Group A is on the line in this matchup between 100 Thieves and fnatic. Interestingly, fnatic have struggled against the Australian team in the past. We have ended up on Mirage and Inferno a lot between these two teams, which is a clear advantage for 100 Thieves as these are their two best maps statistically. However, fnatic have now incorporated Vertigo into their map pool and it has paid off so far this tournament, with wins against both Heroic and MIBR. This match is a tossup in my opinion, but I would slightly favor fnatic if they play their cards right in the map veto.
We get a rematch of the ECS finals in this match between Astralis and Liquid. Both of these teams are already through to the playoffs, but the winner will get a bye and advance directly to the semi-finals. Astralis have had a clear edge between these two sides during 2019, with four BO3 wins. However, this matchup has gone to three maps on four of these occasions. For that reason, I would either take Liquid +1.5 on the handicap or bet the over in Total Maps (+2.5)
mousesports are coming in as big favorites in this lower bracket semi-finals against Renegades (Formerly known as Grayhound, not to be mistaken with 100 Thieves.) The last and only time these sides met was at DreamHack Masters Malmö where mousesports took the win 2–1 after dominant victories on Dust2 and Mirage. However, it is notable that the Aussies were able to steal Inferno in that one. I like mousesports chance of advancement here, especially if we end up on the same of maps as last time.
ATK pulled off a big upset against North in the first round of the lower bracket, and will now be going up against a G2 side that looked very solid against Astralis. There is no doubt that ATK has some talented players on their roster with names such as floppy, motm and Sonic, but I certainly favor G2 to get things done here in a BO3.
